Introduction

A Data Connection is a collection of endpoint, credentials and other information for connecting to external data sources such as a SFTP server, an HTTPS connection to a third party API, or an email account.

Data Connections are used by any tool, such as Data Imports, Data Exports, and user-defined datasources, to handle the initial connection, authentication and optional directory or service reconciliation. By packaging these details, multiple apps or services can re-use a single data connection for the centralized management of credentials and endpoints.
