Register Mobile
Users can access the platform in one of two ways:
- Via web login at https://app.simplywork.com on any device (PC, tablet, or mobile), or
- Through the dedicated clock app at https://clockapp.simplywork.com.
The benefit of the second choice is that the app is dedicated to being a clock vs a full user web experience. Authentication, UX and other aspects have been optimized for a general clock experience (including scheduling, leave and messaging.)
When browsing to the clock app url using the phone's browser, a unique validation ID is generated. This validation ID is then added to your platform instance via the register clock wizard when you press Add under the Clock Management, Clocks app.
Upon completing the wizard, the mobile device will become active and the user can login using their number or badge.
Mobile Invite
To make the process easier, you can send invites to users via email which will guide them through the registration process. The Invite button under Clock Management displays a wizard for sending email invites to one or more users with instruction on how to get the app.
Use the search box to find users, and the >> button to add them to the selected list. When ready, press Send to issue the email invites.
Users will receive an invite with instructions and a button to launch the clock app website.
The invitation includes a one-time link to automatically regster the clock on the mobile device with the user's credentials. After clicking the link, the app will self-install.
As part of the mobile invite process, the system auto-creates the user as a device within the Clocks management app and tracks the progress.
The above status will be updated to OK after the user successfully logs in.
Mobile Login
Pressing the Login button will enter the app as the selected user.
The email should not be shared or forwarded as the invite is specific to each user.
The image below shows the punch app after having pressed Login. The Menu button displays other apps, while Done exits the current session.
